Did you shorten it, or was it done when you got it?

2-door or 4-door and was it pick up?

I've contemplated doing my 4-door but can't figure out how to do a neat job of the roof

My mate shortened it before I bought it off him. It was a neat job and he managed to retain the fuel tank in the correct place.

The roof was cut 2/3 of the way back and the 2 halves overlapping and riveted into place. Perfectly OK finish. Most people dont bother and make a pickup.

Cheers V8MG that look a seriously neat conversion, and given me some motivation.

When you did the roof did you measure half the distance shortend, either side of the widest point?
What about the roof-lining?
I just need to sort out a tank and external EFI fuel pump now

Hi Seaton
The roof is exactly as you discribe if you read the other thread I welded the first roof and it warped beyond saving so the second is pop riveted through one of the strengthening bars. The headlining was starting to sag but luckly where I got the second roof he also had a GRP head lining which is in 2 bits anyway. I have still got that to fit. The petrol tank i cut in half so I could use the origional pump and level sender holds aboput 11 gallons i recon. I also run LPG so with both tanks full I can do about 350Miles
