Anyone want any LRO etc mags..?
Discussion
I gave my sister's bloke all my landrover mags the other week. Now they ring me up saying they don't want them anymore and can they chuck them... ()
I actually have a sneaky suspicion they are going to sell them actually and make money out of me , but i wont go into that here!
Anyway i said i would offer them to you chaps first. Basically its every LRO mag more or less from 1992 to i think 1996 which is when i attended Uni so stopped subscription. After that there is a few extras here and there upto latest dates which is when i bought them if interesting etc, or dad felt like treating me!
Also these dates coincide to when LRO changed and some of its original team broke off to new mags and so there are a few of the other LR mags in this lot too.
Bear in mind there's quite a lot and so postage is out of the question. Can probably be picked up from either Norwich Bedford or Chester, after that you're on your own.
Let me know if anyone wants them, otherwise i'll (sadly) let them go to wherever...
If i had the room i'd keep them as there is some gems of info, especially for the older models, which will presumably die out as they become less common? I have no LR and not likely to get one in the near future so.....

BR, I'd have had them off you but you're miles away from me and picking them up is out of the question, arse
Well if you are on route between norwich and chester, it may be possible. I am *somewhere* most weekends...
I just don't like the idea of sister either making money out of my things (i would give them away - honestly!) or else them throwing them out when they could go to a good home - even if that person then gave them away afterwards.

Took all mine to the recycle place about a month ago - LROs from the very beginning (1990?) to 2002 ...
Almost filled the back of the car with 'em.
The original crew set up LRE magazine, but the articles started to repeat from the old days.
I got fed up with it when they started to do the "What to buy for £x" articles, where they showed vastly overpriced vehicles - eg £2k worth of 1990 V8 Discovery full of faults (that they found) stickered up for 6k. Oh, and the dealer happened to be within 20 miles of Peterborough, and a prominient advertiser.
Has improved again recently and I subscribed for free show tickets.

As a new Landy Owner I will take them off your hands. if you can get them to Lymm Services off the M6 on the way to Chester?? unless you go M1 / M62?
I live in Rochdale and can pick them up at your nearest drop off point on your way to chester.
Give me a call on 01706 351969 or 07742 025998
Cheers
Neil
