Just curios how many of the landy owners on P/H actually take them off road?. I do and realy enjoy it!. If you don’t all I can say is give it try ! you don’t have to go nuts just get it dirty.

i couldn't agree more, but mine is taking a year off the muddy stuff as i can;t afford to break it at the mo & no time to fix it when it does break, too many projects on the go/moving house/work etc....

I used to do quite a bit, in the discovery but now i've passed it on to the wife she's not keen.

I once embarased the Dakar 4x4 demo driver by following him arounf a quite chunky track on road tyres and didnt even loose the front spoiler ( ok the number plate fell off) and the track included a 3ft step out of a river...

my old s111 spent all its time off roading which has contributed to the fact its been off road for some time

Yes!I offroad mine a great deal. A Freelander and an old series. The freelander is my dads and he works for the electricity company and is very very often offroad in the worst weather getting the power back on! Plus we go for fun. I work in a petrol station and i often chat to the drivers of landrovers and tell them to go offroading!I'm trying to convert them!

www.geocities.com/andy_sp1ke/FlyingFreelander.jpg this is our freelander on a little (hard base!so no damage done!) lane!

I on-roading my series 3 diesel for the first time ever last night

I haven't grinned so much in years. It's terrible, the slowest, noisiest thing I've ever driven, but somehow great fun.
