Let's Keep it Going
Discussion
There has been a lot of positive comment about the Landy forum - and some mutterings from those who don't understand that it's just a 'LandRover thing' about it not fitting in with PH.
I've always found that a lot of bikers / sportscar enthusiasts also like / own Landies, a fact that seems to be bourne out here.
Ted has relented and given us a chance to see if it works out - if I remember correctly it should stay if it doesn't degenerate into too much Farmer Giles type crap.
So come on ladies and gents, lets use the forum and prove it works as part of PH.

How much more PH can you get!!!!!
A machine you can tinker with, Response from every turn of the wheel. Character by the skip load, British! They don't go fast, correction, they are not sports cars( my TD5 does 90 )and we do not drive them as such but i defy anyone to not fall in love with their ideosyncrasies, much the same as TVR's.

My daily driver's a '96 Disco V8 ES, Had since it a year old.Love it like a favourite pair of Levis.
Now its only worth a few grand P/X so i'll probably keep it indefinatly.
Fast (for a 4x),great towing vehicle (for track days),
ideal for the city centre rat race - May get back to some (light) off roading one day.
Thirst the only downside.
Also got an '89 LR 90 Turbo diesel, used to off road it a lot but now a workhorse.Just add oil/water every once in a while.
Runs on XD rims and suffers the usual old turbo D problem of oily air filter - due to piston blow back- i think.
Great old tug - like a cockroach - it never seems to die no matter what you do to it.
Think the LR forum a splendid idea - lets hope it continues.

Fine choice of vehicle I have to say, AutoTrader usually have a few, as does LRO and the other mags, oh and also try www.usedlandrovers.co.uk not brilliant but it's more for sale.
Hope you get what you want

I agree with the Landy Forum, I've owned 5 to date starting with my first one at 16years old Ser3 and it took me a year to get road worthy ready for my 17th Birthday!! My fav was my 110 CSW V8 which lived in the french Alps with me, fantastic beast that went up and down red run's (Steep Ski slopes)with a great deal of ease, also being petrol it never had the fuel waxing problems some of my friends experienced.
Excellent!
Landies are cool! I used to run a S3 as my everyday car and now own a 56' S1 alongside my Elise. The Elise is my everyday car, the landy is for special occasions only!!!!! Wumbat (the landy) is the only vehicle I will never sell!!
If you want a laugh look at www.dalesworld.com My best mate and a person truly obsessed with all that is Land Rover! Also owns a fantastic early range Rover....

OK, I have found a suitable 110 CSW at last, a '92 200 Tdi:
It has a mere 160,000 miles on the clock! A deal has been done, but I probably won't get to pick it up for a week or two.
Now all I need to do is find out where the Lib Dem guy who wants to ban 4x4s lives, so I can drive over his front garden a few times
