I have been focused on the TVR pages and simply hadn't realised that there was a Landrover forum too! I have a tough truck LR 90 CSW (R reg)...used mostly for towing the horse trailer to events these days, but I still love driving it...anyway, to the point - is there a good independent for servicing in North Hants (we are in the Fleet area)? We only do about 5000 miles a year now...thanks, Owen

I'm in Farnham (well, Badshot Lea) and use Kingsley Cross Country in Bordon.

However, I do know there is Muddy Trax in Aldershot who I've heard are good - Phil from Muddy Trax helped Mark Evans with his "A 4x4 is Born" series - but I'm yet to deal with them. I picked my 90 up from having a load of work done on it from KCC last week as it happens.

Graham, thank you - both are within easy striking distance and a recommendation is very helpful. Will have a look at both - incidentally who do you use for tyres? I have had the same BFG Goodrich tyres on her since buying her in 1999, so time for a change (and to something more suitable to the on-road driving she is doing now). Thanks again, Owen

Hi, Owen.

I used John Craddock - see my thread here - for my wheels. Well priced, great service, they all come balanced and ready to fit

I dealth with Jamie and John, Jamie is more wheels though I think.

I do know of a place in Aldershot who mainly cater for trucks I think (when I did scaffolding we had to take the truck there) and I saw some BFG All Terrains on a rack...

I had heard good things about Keith Gott until a good friend of mine told me they were astronomically expensive

I haven't had use of them for some time now, so you may well be right on that one - they do appear to have grown out of all recognition! When I frequented them they'd occasionally donate used parts if they didn't have it in stock - very much that family feel.

Frogs Island isn't that far away and they are great - quick trip up the A34

There is a small garage in Whitchurch, other side of Basingstoke called Clacy's. They look after my Disco and the various Landy's of a few friends.

Two of the Guys in there are Land over enthusiasts and know their stuff. Cheap labour rates too

Thanks to everyone who has taken the trouble to reply - gives me plenty to go on and some good advice. I used Keith Gott for some work and and a service about 2 years ago and did find them very pricey, but very happy with their work (since then I have been using the AA servicing garage in Aldershot - good price but not very Landrovery). As for tyres, I was thinking about Toyo's - anyone any experience of them? Thanks again, Owen
