Intercooler upgrades

Has anyone here had an upgraded intercooler fitted to their 300Tdi? I'm looking for ways to justify keeping my Defender and better motorway/towing ability would certainly help.

Yep, few years back I had a 300 Tdi 90 CSW fitted with full width Allard intercooler, uprated hoses and tweaked fuel pump and it was significantly nicer to drive than standard I'm always sceptical of these sorts of things but genuinely it had loads more mid-range power especially noticable in 3rd and 4th and revved more freely/easily. I'm considering doing something similar with my 200 Tdi 90 but as I only use it off road I wouldn't really get any benefit. If I had a Tdi as a daily driver I'd get it done straight away.

I'd do the intercooler upgrade and get a nice exhaust to let those gases out. Also consider putting on a disco tranferbox this will make motorway cruising a pleasure(I picked up a fairly new one off ebay for £60ish)
