Range Rover P38 ABS peddle kicking back

Hi

My brake peddle on a 1998 4.6 HSE (with Traction Control) is kicking back
(even when I disconnect it from all the electrics!)

My only conclusion is that it is the ABS Booster (STC 2778) but at a cost of
£1,500 (new) I would like to be sure; have you heard of such a problem?

Never heard of this before? When you say booster? i take it you mean pump? If so £1500 seems a bit accsessive even if its priced by LR.Try more like £520 inc V.A.T

No, this is not the pump, it's the unit under the bonnet attached to the peddle. (just under the brake fluid filler cap!)
