A "friend" has accidentally put two discs into one of the cartridge slots in a P38 6cd system the same as mine (ahem) and it has royally buggered up the mechanism.

Does anyone know a place that might be expert in repairs as opposed to being an expert in simply replacing it?

Or alternatively is the box in the boot not that expensive to replace?

My friend says thanks in advance!

The CD changer is a Clarion unit. Changers are quite easy to take apart so long as you're careful and not a complete monkey. I've rescued various makes of changer in the past like this. You should be able to get the casing off to enough of an extent to at least manuall move the CD(s) back into the cartridge so you can re-assemble and then eject the cartridge with all 7 CDs. Either that or take the offending extra CD out and leave one in the mechanism that gets loaded back into the cartdridge properly when you plug back in.
