yeah i know, i emailed him asking what he would sell it now for and this is what i got back.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my car. You should know a couple of things before we talk business here, and I am assuming we will. First, I must inform you that currently I am in Austria .My car is registered in U.K, but it is located here, in Austria . I have made a big mistake in bringing it here with me. The car's steering wheel is on the right side, and so it is difficult driving it here. I also cannot sell it here for a good price. I did not register the car in Austria because I realized that this is a lost cause. The price of my RANGE ROVER is 7000 pounds. I know that the price is very cheap but I need the money for this car as soon as possible, because as I have debts to pay at the bank. I hope we will not have discussions for the price as this is my last price. I want that this business will be as well as possible accomplished of my knowledge and you will be satisfied, because I am caught in some very important events and I have very little time at my disposal. The RANGE ROVER is like new, is in perfect condition. I am the first owner of the car and there is no accident or any problem of the engine. Thanks for your interest, please feel free to email me any questions or concerns you may have.

Respectfully,
Klos

Note the way range rover is in capitals like its a pre done email. Well thats how it looks to me.

most bizarre ... its not an obvious hi-jacked fleabay thread but that HAS to be bogus. Has a classic "Lads from Lagos" style of english pros in the message too!!

almost tempting to wind him up a bit .....

"does it have a service history"
"can you mail me some more pictures of the engine bay and the interior"
"where in Austria is it?"
then offer to meet him at his local bank / police station and see what he says ..

never know, you may get a very cheep rangie!! don;t hold you breath mind, but you may

thanks for the pointers xjs, heres my reply to our good old desperate rr seller.

Sounds great, can i ask some more questions.

1. Does it have service history?
2. Can you send me some more pictures of the engine
bay and interior?
3. Where in Austria is the car?
4. Can i meet you at your local bank or police station
to pay.

thanks

looked at that as soon as i saw the advert ....

Technically it is correct, it is black, and Rangies are classified as Estates. Age is correct too, they just omited manufactuere, but they do do that some times ... think its a glitch in DVLA / RAC interface.

The car is genuine, the advert may be genuine, but the person answering the emails is decidedly suspect ..

You must be into some serious business to be selling the car for that money.

I wait for the reply...........

I think i may know what it will say.

why do people like this bother?,as if anyones going to think a Vogue SE for £7k is beliveable, i had someone pinch the photos of a bike i sold on e bay a while ago and list them while my auction was still running it really is retarded of them.

I think the guy has done the same thing as that as there is a dealer with the same car saying this is my car to sell and no one else's.

I cant believe the guy didnt at least make up a realistic price.
