Interesting or scrap?
Discussion
Your expert advice appreciated. A friend of a friend is talking about scrapping an old Discovery. Only it's not just any old Discovery, or is it?
It is an original and intact pre-production LHD prototype (No. 86? of 200), two door/4 cylinder diesel, sold to a LR employee after hot-weather testing.
So, do we repatriate it to the UK for lots of TLC in the hands of an afficionado, or is it really just scrap after all?
Appreciate your input.

Depends I suppose if you've got room to store it. I don't think that Disco 1s have quite reached "classic" status.
I'm sure in due course it will probably be quite noteworthy, especially if restored. Afterall, those who scrapped their centre steer series ones, early Stage 1 v8s, and VELAR range rovers must be kicking themselves now
You might see if the Dunsfield collection are interested?
