Radio Problems

Well I've had my Vogue for about a month now and all in all I love it, it costs a fortune in petrol but what the hell. The only thing that is really winding me up is the radio, it will just not pick up channels properly, has anyone else had the problem? Could it just be the ariel? I believe the ariel is in the rear side window is there a roof mounted ariel I could get?

Always had this problem on the previous generation but didn't realise it was the same on current. Surely they can't still be making them with this problem.........?
