Got the Disco' muddy
Discussion
OK, I'm a fairly recent Disco' owner but I've enjoyed every minute so far. None more so than this weekend.
My Wife spotted a 4x4 show at the East Anglia showground advertised in one of the magazines and booked tickets.
What she didn't tell me is that she booked two go's on the off road course as well.
She sprang the surprise when we got there saturday morning and off we trolleyed to the course venue. I assumed there would be an instructor so was quite surprised when the bloke at the startline pointed in the direction of a vertical (yes it was!) incline through some trees and said 'off you go'. So I did.
Fantastic, there were Marshalls at the tricky bits to offer some advice and I (and my 4 year old daughter in the back) loved it.
The course wasn't extreme but testing enough to make me really appreciate how fantastic these cars really are.
We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day when my Wife drove the course with myself, my daughter and our son in the car. Excellent stuff. Oneof only 4 women apparently to try the course all weekend....not bad for two absolute novices.
I actually polished the car before we went, but now I don't have the heart to clean it.
Apparently there was some really cool other stuff going on and Richard Hammond driving his Defender in the show ring but all that pales into insignificance.
If anyone else was there I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
now need to find some more opportunities to use the car properly!

Was this the Peterborough show? I've wanted to go to this the last couple of years but then always forget about it
Yes it was; first one we've been to so nothing to benchmark against, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and met lots of very friendly and enthusiastic people
Recommended for next year
OK, here's the first one to test that I can make it work. More to follow if successful
