Is this 110CSW for sale a decent bet?
Discussion
Me and the family are looking at a 98R with 119k miles. 4k miles since recon 300tdi motor, clutch and s/s exhaust. Has dog guard, roofcage, towing bits, and looks very clean indeed from the photos - no dog eared bits, bumpers non rusty, new matching tyres and very clean looking freestyles..
Chap is not taking offers below £9995. My wife says - 10 grand for a 120k mile car! No way! I say - its had lots of stuff done, ready for another 100k. I also assure her that the 300tdi is the connoisseurs choice!
Is this about right? I'm waiting to hear back from him about the details about the engine swap, and if there are any other problems.
Any help hugely appreciated - we're hoping to go to the Isle of Tiree next weekend in it!
Cheers.

Ta.
and well, quite.. as an alternative a local main dealer has a deeply cool bonatti grey td5 on a 51 plate with 52k miles for a half reasonable £12900, (which ideally we would persuade them to let go for 12 and a half.)
I still think the newer car could be potentially more trouble, and it is completely devoid of kit and has the more expensive to run td5..but it does make it harder to justify the round-the-clocker, even with the recon motor. Hmmmmm.
The dealer has a 30 day return policy of course- we could go on holiday and give it back after!

300tdi's last for more than 119k! The added bits do make it more attractive but then it's not your Landy. Buy a blank piece of canvas and then add your toys .
