Another Disco problem.
My 1991 200TDi leaks all of the windsceen washer fluid out of the headlight washer jets under gravity. Should there be a 'limited force' valve somewhere to only allow water flow under pressure? If ths is in the pump, is here any way of fitting one in-line (as the tube is a larger bore than standard windscreen tube).
Also, what is the small return tube for which runs back into the top of the bottle from the pressure side of the motor? Is this just a damper pipe?
It is funny however, as it looks like the Disco is crying!!!

My 91 range rover has one of these valves built into the T peice that splits the tube behind the front bumper, when I broke mine it did exactly the same.

What makes the headlamp washer jets come on?

Ours has them, but I have never worked out how the hell they come on...

They squirt automatically if the headlights are on and you activate the windscreen wash.
