The "legend" club mag looks decent, but I have plenty of basic questions! Would like to get my old 1948 landie road legal.

Fantastic! Yours looks great too - who did you use for the engine rebuild and body work refurb?

I used a local guy who is a marine engineer by trade, although he's got several series 1's and has rebuilt many of the years. He rebuilt the bulkhead for me based around the old one which was rotted. No mean feat. He also rebuilt the engine. Lots more to mention.

All in all it cost me around £4K. I'm sure it could have been considerably cheaper had I had the time and skills to do it / or some of it myself, but the car had been sitting around for a long time and in the end I just wanted it done. I'm still not sure whether it was worth the money, but as I do not intend to sell the car, I guess time will tell.
