I have a Series 3 with a V8 in it, that needs a new rad. Its current rad is very much like this: (which is a Range rover rad)

But with the following differences:
It is shorter (i think)
It only has one little stub (there are 2 at the top right of the pic)
It has a radiator cap (the pictured one has a plug, so is presumanly used with a pressurised reservoir if you know what i mean)

Any ideas as to what mine is?

And secondly, can some kind soul tell me how wide a rangerover rad is? because if one will fit between my wings, i can fit one of them.

Apologies for the long winded post

Cheers,
Roland.

Rather than go through the 8 million different rads that could be the one you have is there any chance you could have the rad repaired and/or re-cored.

I had my V8 90 rad done by a local guy and cost me £100 for complete re-core and a couple of leaks repaired where the top hose joins and the thing looked like new.

If you're anywhere near Maidstone in Kent I can point you to the place.

Well, one neck broke off a header, so i took it off to see what was what, dropped it and and broke off the little neck that goes to the manifold.

I think it could be mended, ill have a ook through the yellow pages.

Thanks, but im in Staffordshire

hi,

that's not a range rover rad- it's a stage 1 v8 rad- it's absolutely identical to mine!

best thing to do is to get it recored- i went to a local rad place- cost about £100 and works a treat now. range rover rads are far too wide for a series body.
