What do you mean should be ready for Billing - I'd drive it now!

That will be awesome, what amount of body lift + suspension lift is that?

Suspension is std, body is around a foot

a body lift of a foot ... consisting of wooden blocks wedged ontop of the chassis

I saw something similar on an old Rangie (albeit with proper metal lifts) - it was eventually taken off the road as it was really dangerous, under heavy braking the body literally slid forwards.

Does anyone else think this really isnt the way to go? I mean with extravagant body lift and nil suspension lift? I mean, the only ground clearance improvement comes from the taller tyres.

Surely say a 4 inch suspesion lift and a 2 inch body lift would have been a bit better?

Re the wooden blocks, they are to prop it up as he builds the frame underneath. I will take some more snaps as it progresses.

I'm no expert, but if you just do a suspension lift - you dont gain any clearance when on full compression or when its cross-axled do you?

Re portals, He's got them on his own car, Last photo on this page:

He's had quite a few problems getting the front steering working right with the portals.
