Agreed; i have a V8 series 3 for fun (which i may or may not have killed, i dont know yet ), a 2 and a quarter petrol series 2, and a 300tdi disco. Oh and a 2.5 diesel series 3.

Id like to drop a TDi into the series 2, time and budget permitting!

How have you killed a v8???? I've always fancied a td(yes that crappy 19j) powered series motor, they produce enough power to be fun but safe with drum brakes and if looked after and not revved too hard will last a long time.

Well, i took it upto my mates for some pretty serious welding, (which i did) and took it to test it in a bog/pond/field sort of area. As you do. Anyway, it got a bit stuck, so i gave it some beans, and it made a kind of pop, oil pressure vanished, and it stalled.

I went to fetch it that night, it started, ran as normal, but i noticed oil pressure wasnt as good as it was.

Last night, the guy whos farm it is at rang to say hed moved it, but it wont accelerate much over tickover, and runs like a bag of nails.

Tbh, i havent seen it yet, but it sounds fukced to me. Oh well.

19J eh? i wouldnt get on with one, as i do tend to thrash things, and ive heard they dont take kindly to that.
