saw this on e bay, it seems to have had a fair knock but should be salvagable?and would need a new ignition, 2 doors, a rear wing and perhaps 1 or 2 other things ive overlooked to get it through the inspection to then get a MOT and logbook, does it look worthwile to you guys?,obviously it wouldnt be worth very much even in roadworthy condition as its a cat C but it would be a handy car for me to get to commute and use for a bit of fun off roading which is why i really want it, how much would you say it was worth too, my guess is about £1200-£1500 max.

If you enjoy pensioners burning you up in their electric scooters whilst you wait for that slug-like engine to get you moving..

Agree with Graham the rear axle does look like its pushed back slightly. Also "90%" of parts to fix with the vehicle - I'd want to know what they are. Personally I think it's worth more than £1200-£1500 purely for the engine/box/front axle/front end/interior etc but don't think its worth bothering to repair if it makes more than this. My experience of restoring old cars is they always seem to cost twice what you think so would imagine same rule applies to these damaged cars, and MOT'd ones are only a couple of grand anyway. I'd steer clear as I think it'll be a load of trouble and a headache to put right!

i think your right, its more trouble than its worth, particularly as you say the P38 isnt really worth much now anyway, really i want a post 2002 one but truthfully thier still rather out of my price range, i would also gladly get a 4.0 or 4.6 with LPG but from what ive heard and experience of someone elses they can be rather troublesome engines i think a chipped DSE would be good enough.
