Anyone changed these little buggers themselves?

I have located the problem of the vanishing coolant in my P38. It is leaking into the carpet above the transmission tunnel on the drivers side. I understand that the 'O' rings are the culprit as they harden and crack. I have found a site that gives what appears to be a short cut in great detail from the nightmare of dashboard out.

Has anyone had a go themselves? The parts including the Heater core temperature sensor that would also appear to need replacing cost about £12. Is that the amount of equivalent hours per £ I am going to have to spend next week end putting them in?

All i can tell you is it can be done without taking the dash out,by taking the side panels out of the center consol to gain access.

Thanks.

I found that site and the instructions. I wondered if anyone has tried this at home for £12 and a number of hours or just take to a main stealer and pay them £600?

I know I would definately give it a go. If the amount of time it would take you to earn £600 is more than the amount of time it would take do it yourself, you have your answer.
