May I suggest that you speak to GLASS before using any tracks www.glass-uk.org/

why would we need to check? Dont tell me the government has removed our rights of way now?
You need to check because some lanes will become damaged by repeated use in bad weather. The anti 4x4 folk will take great delight in claiming that all damage no matter how it came about is the fault of yours and mine 4x4. If a lane is closed it is most likely being rested to ensure it is not closed to us for ever.
You must use any lane with care and consideration. You may also find a cold welcome from some walkers but do not raise to the bait. After all you know you have a legal right to be there because you've checked!!!
