Hi, I've a Disco 1 (1996) with an intermittant ABS problem, the light comes on and goes off seemingly as and when it chooses.

Is there any way of getting fault codes for this car?.

are you sure the wiring is good on the hub sensors?
The wiring and the sensors generally first suspect.

Sorry for the hijack Iain but I'm having a similar problem with my '90 Classic.

ABS light is normally on and brakes work fine (except no ABS) but when the light goes off there is a loud ticking from behind the dash and the pedal goes nigh-on solid.
Garage has told me there is a no-voltage fault to the solenoids from the 'brain' and i'll need to get a new one.
Does anyone know where I'll be able to lay my hands on a second-hand 'brain' (WABCO)

TIA

Seb

Try Famous Four In Louth, they break as well as supply new parts
