Origin B2 camera detector in Discovery 3

Anyone fitted one with heated front screen? Presume I would need to buy an extention aerial and locate iy somewhere else?

Yep I have a Road Angel with the external antenna. The antenna is positioned inside at the bottom of the screen and it seems to work fine. I have seen photographs of the antenna mounted externally but I'd prefer to avoid this.

Is it in effect looking out under the bottom of the heater element?

Yes and no. Yes it is at the very bottom of the screen just ahead of the screen vents, but strangly the screen element carries on over this area too from memory. I'm not sure whether it has moved, I'll have to check. There is a 1" gap at the side of the Discovery screen where I guess it would also be effective. I'll double check and let you know.
