Rear seats

Hi guys,

I am seriously looking for a petrol Serie 2 Land, SWB.
Ideally I'd buy one with at least 2 rear seats and the hard top that goes with it (with the air vent at the top) but these seem fairly rare.

If I was to get some seats added in the back of one, how does this work in a V5 / insurance point of view? Do I have to go through SVA before I can get it insured with additionnal passenger seats?

Bolt them in, Amend V5 send to DVLA, tell insurance.

Make sure that you bolt to something substantial and not just a piece of 2 mm plate.

With a Series the V5 doesn't usually state the number of seats. For insurance I always say that my 88" has six seats anyway even if they're not always bolted in. I use some decent spread plates under the seat box when fitting them.
