What Oil to use in a Freelander TD4?

I've just bought myself a 2004 Freelander TD4. I've read the manual and I can see that the engine should use one of the following: 0W/30, 5W/30, 5W/40 5W/50, 10W/30, 10W/40 or 10W/60 (depending on temperature range), but nowhere can I see whether mineral, synthetic or semi-synthetic is the way to go. Any advice appreciated. Cheers Paul
