CB in Defender

Has anyone fitted a CB to a Defender?

Specifically, what's the best way to earth the aerial?

I have a cb fitted to my RR Classic. It mounts on the tailgate. I ran a wire from the mount to the earth on the number plate light.

I am looking to fit CB and have been going through the various sets. Almost got one on Ebay but realised it was AM not FM! Is there any point going for 80 channel over 40? Mostly going to use it inconjuction with my fathers Defender and some friends when we are offroading so I cant see why 80 are needed.
