Now that most MOT stations are on the computer Land Rover drivers may find they are no longer able to get an MOT at their normal station.

There is a weight restriction for Class IV MOTs (your normal car Class) of 3000kg.
I think this has always been there it’s just that the computer now forces compliance.

All the info and the way out are shown here.
I have today shown the info to my tester who says he would not have realised that the definition existed and is now happy to do the test. The V5c will also have to go away for amendment.

looks like the disco 3 commercial will have fun in 3 years time then isnt the un ladended weight on them somthing daft like 2.5 tons..
