P38 Electrical problems

Hi there,

I just imported a 1995 4.6 HSE from Japan and it has a few problems that I was wondering if anyone know what the cause may be.

Firstly, the headlights randomly flash on and off when its running. And secondly the Air Con blowers don't work. The control panel seems to work ok but no air is being blown. Could it be the relays or is it likely to be something more serious?

Probably the blend motors. Fairly common fault but dash-out job to fix

Thanks, is there a way I can tell for definite that its the blend motors?

yea blend motors or the condensor. could it be the hevac unit???

Not sure from a DIY perspective, but it should show up on an ECU diagnostic test I think.

Have a look at blend motors - under climate control.

they can be done without dash removal.
