I live in a cold and snowy area (big reason I got the Descovery), and winter is coming quickly. Last winter, I had problems with my windshield wipers becoming full of ice, making them basically non-functional. Does anyone know of a solution (I'm thinking a heating element in the wiper blades, but that sounds expensive and difficult).

Thanks!

Heated screen, washer nozzles or one of those kits that heats the wash water from the cooling system? Or an electric pre-heater? (I cannot recommend the Kenlowe ones.) Cover the windscreen? Or do what I do, which is to pop out in my shirtsleeves and start the car so it warms up while I put my coat on, find my briefcase, etc. (No chance of it being stolen where I live...)

Pull the wipers forward off the screen at night -just as if you are cleaning the car!

Hopefully that will work.

Thanks. I guess the simple solutions are probably the best!
