Clear glass in a L405 post-facelift seems impossible to find

Was clear glass an option for the later L405s?
Yes. Mine has it. I recall seeing another, but they re not at all common. IIRC, the dealer asked if I was sure that I really wanted it (privacy may even have been standard/no cost on the Autobiography).

The tint is really not that noticeable from the inside. I guess the reason clear glass was advised against as it looks like the tint is between the two panes of glass, so probably a PITA to build the odd one without.
If I'm wrong and it isn't sandwiched, then surely it can just be peeled off?

It wasn t advised against (well, not for anything other than resale). I d be stunned if the factory privacy glass was a peelable film. If I'm wrong and it isn't sandwiched, then surely it can just be peeled off?
ETA: MrsLT recalls the conversation with the sales chap. Apparently privacy glass was standard on the Autobiography so it needed a conscious decision to get clear.

Pre-facelift some of the factory tints were film, it certainly was on my L405 AB, and definitely factory as they were too perfectly cut to be aftermarkettiger roll said:

I can't find a single car that is post-facelift with clear glass. Everything I have seen has privacy glass.
Perhaps I'm missing something obvious.
For me ideal spec would be: Clear glass, small silver wheels, adaptive cruise, 360 camera.
My the time the facelift arrived, small wheels were long gone on the L405, so your better to just leave that one off and see what can find on Facebook marketplace for wheels. Smaller wheels are always cheaper too as they are not 'on trend' so to speak. I can't find a single car that is post-facelift with clear glass. Everything I have seen has privacy glass.

I'd go for an Autobiography spec car as that at least guarantees Radar Cruise. I certainly wouldn't want a car without radar cruise these days. Makes long journeys so much nicer
