Hi

What companies to people recommend for buying defender parts? Everything from bodywork to mechanical.

Have bought a 1994 90 300tdi as a project!

Thanks in advance

I would generally try and stay away from Britpart. Like most thinks buy cheap and buy twice.
Paddock Spares and Craddocks have been my go to suppliers for the last 20 years as well as always using genuine parts for servicing.
JGS on ebay are also very good.
Sometimes a refurbished genuine part is better than some of the stuff you see advertised for cheap

Ah thanks that’s very reassuring- have just placed orders with both of those!

For anything 'critical' (engine, brakes, filters, etc...) try and stick to Genuine.

Gearbox, drive train, etc... Ashcroft.

Anything else... Just wing it.
