SVR exhaust upgrade questions
Discussion
Hi all, I’ve owned my 2019 SVR for about 9 months now. I love every bit of it, I just wish it was louder!
I’d love a Quicksilver exhaust system but they’re £££ and probably a bit louder than I’d like.
From my research of x-pipe, h-pipe, straight pipe I like the sound of the x-pipe and there are loads of options to purchase online fairly reasonable, I feel this will be enough to satisfy me without being too much. I also read that the x-pipe is best suited to a V8.
My question is mainly are there any risks to the car like cat/engine damage etc? Would it be best to purchase something I.e from cobra sport or go to a specialist to have one made?
I know that the exhaust needs to be cut and clamps used to join the new section in and I guess that it would be easy enough to clamp the original section back in place if needed.
I understand that certain warranties may be voided but from experience warranties are rarely what they claim to be (see my Europe breakdown post!).
Any suggestions/advise appreciated.
