Defender won’t update software

Hi

Our defender has been asking for a software update for weeks. It’s downloaded, and is giving us the message that the install will take 40 mins. We’ve tried dozens of times to start it but it never works. Anyone else had this? Any solutions?

Might be worth having a watch of this, it's a couple of years old but might still be relevant. In the end Simon disconnects the battery for an hour to reset everything, after which the update works.

Do you have any extra form of immobiliser, if it shuts things off when the car is locked or fob not present it wont update.
