Evoque intermittent Sound from radio

Hello all

wife's 2013 Evoque keeps cutting off sound when driving along randomly.

on phone calls i can always hear her but when it cuts off she cant hear anything else.

when connecting a song on YouTube the same thing. the phone plays but no sound comes out of the speakers.

its completely random. could be twice in 5 mins, sometimes never on a single drive
