My L405 4.4 SDV8 is currently on 20” Pirelli Scorpion Verde but am thinking of changing to General Grabber AT3 as I’m doing a lot more field & trail driving now.
Before I do is anyone using GoodYear Wrangler Dura Trac as fitted to the New Defender?
They aren’t much more than the GG-AT3.
Has anyone got any good or bad experiences with them.

I had them full time on a L322 and L405 for the past 5 years and think they're great. I'm just getting a set for my L460.
They are little louder than normal at motorway speeds but great in snow and ice and of course much better than a normal tyre in fields and mud etc. Much better than an AT tyre in my opinion.

Did you keep the same size as the ‘road’ tyres?
I’m using Pirelli Scorpion Verde 255 55 20 currently.

Out of curiosity, has anyone run these in snowy/icy conditions? If so, how did you get on?
My Defender goes onto Nokians for the winter but I am extremely wary about its lack of mud handling and have sometimes thought about whether to change the RR tyres but have held off due to the occasional need for it to go off road in winter.
Also is anyone aware of anything needed to be done with the TPMS in order to run two sets of wheels, or does the car just automatically detect the sensors each time you swap?

Not fortunate for the OP.
But Goodyear have just released a new Duratrac RT to replace the original duratrac.
It comes with the 3PMS as standard.
I’ve ran the old tyre and they were really good in winter weather.
From 2018 beast from the East when I went to rescue a mate and get him home.

I’m going to go for a new set of these new tyres next year when they come out properly for the uk.
They won’t be cheap though but I remember paying £200 a tyre back in 2013 for my first set.

Thanks, that makes it pretty straightforward (assuming 20s will fit over the brakes of the 5.0).
