Def TD5 electronic whistle noise problem
Discussion
Hi All,
Got into the Defender this morning and immediately heard a high pitched whistle - like a ‘broken’ hearing aid sound before I even put the key in the ignition.
Had a drive, everything seems fine, but the whistle is audible above the engine noise / road noise.
You can’t hear it outside or from the engine bay, only the cabin. Sounded like it came from the drivers speaker. Disconnected that, but the sound still persists. The noise is from within the lower dash, far right side in the footwell. It stops when I disconnect the battery so it’s not my tinnitus!
About to disconnect fuses one by one to see what circuit it’s on, but any thoughts? For me, an unusual problem.
