Won't start, is coming up with a HDC not available and transmission fault instead of starting. The codes have been read (about 65-90 different fault codes) and cleared and its not helped at all.

There's all sorts of wierd electrical system irregularities, doesnt wont to release key and lock doors with the fob, I'm struggling to get an auto electrician out to diagnose the issue.

Does anyone how any idea how to go about this?

It's not the battery, tried a few different ones, the fuses and wiring under the hood seem fine. Might go unplug the ecu and plug it in again . . See if that helps, But other than that struggling to think whether to try convincing someone to come out to try to reprogram it or replace the ecu with a second hand one with keys. (If I get the exact ecu for the car + keys it shouldn't need reprogramming apparently)

But worried this could be allsorts of sensors a solenoid or even the Haldex needing oil

Any suggestions would be amazing if anyone's dealt woth something like this.

Leave it on charge overnight, land rovers of all flavours throw up all sorts of electrical weirdness if the voltage is low.

Join the Freelander 2 Owners Group on Facebook; it’s been excellent for solutions to any of the niggles on mine. Someone will almost certainly have had the same issue and found a solution.

Assuming the battery is OK then the voltage could still sag between the 12v and ancillary systems due to corroded chassis earth points throwing a variety of fault codes - especially under load.
