At a bit of an impasse with Evoque problem. Any suggestions?
Discussion
Hi,
Car is an early 2015 Evoque 2.2D with the "smartkey not found" issue rearing its ugly head.
Fobs have 2 new batteries.
I have had a diagnostic run on it, and it is not throwing up any codes pertaining to the KVM, the diag machine is detecting 2 keys and KVM is all good. To be certain as it's an easy access to the module, I've actually had the KVM out, checked and put back in, the fuse / crystal on it is fine, so it's not that.
I've also replaced the reciver module located in the headlining at the front, still getting the same message issue.
I'm thinking it is the antenna that's packed up, but I thought there were 3 of them on Evoques for redundancy, but I'll be stuffed if I can locate even one of them, plus there's nothing online to go on that I can find to point me in the right direction. They're a cheap enough item to buy on ebay.
Fuses all checked, cleaned and replaced, battery has been disconnected , system reset and then put back, and still the same issue.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?. It looks like it may have to go into the MD's at this rate, it's driving me mad and not doing my fingers any good either!.
Cheers in advance, Pete.
