Has anyone experience of adding air conditioning to a 90s Defender?

Leaning towards a Britpart or similar OEM style system, and it seems simple to fit. However I want ice cold so hoping for some knowledge. Anyone done it? Is there a better alternative?

Ministry of Defender sell air con kits. I haven't fitted one myself, but I have one of their dashboards which is of good quality, and I've read good things about their air con kits.

I was pondering making a system up by putting a small evaporator in a modified standard heater assembly. The under dash system the factory fitted is so bulky.

I’ve fitted a Ministry of Defender kit to my 110 to free up some knee room (it originally had factory AC)

I’ve also custom built a dash with a couple of eyeball vents next to the cigar lighter/wiper knob panel with electronic butterfly valves and an arduino controller to get rid of the Bowden cables. All packaged within the dash

It was a pretty complex project, hoping to get it up and running soon to test it all
