New Range Rover lead time & ordering

Does anyone have any up to date knowledge of lead times for delivery on the new Range Rover vogue and sport? Is the 18 month lead time I’ve heard mentioned still accurate and is it similar on both cars?

Also I assume they are no discounts available?

Is there any advantage at all of ordering via a dealer as opposed to just going onto the land rover site and ordering?

I enquired 3 weeks ago on a RRS and was told Jan 2025. I have had RRS (4) over the last 11 years and that sort of delay and not wanting to buy an over list price exdemo caused me to look elsewhere. (reluctantly). Picked up a Porsche Cayenne GTS with 600 miles on the clock with an £11K discount off list. So far very happy.

I put a deposit down on an RRS back in Feb last year. Saw it at a pre launch event and configured my order then, ordered on launch day.
Still no build date 10 months after ordering it is a P440e.
Feel a little bit like I’ve moved on now and not sure I’m going ahead with it, shame as have had LR for years but with the prices increasing since launch and delay after delay realky thinking I might just go and get something else. Have a 2019 RRS AB for last 3.6 years been faultless but if they can’t build one soon then what’s point.
If I cancel any way I can pass my order an place to someone else?

Could be wrong but I don’t think it’s your call as to what happens to your order when you cancel.
Unless you keep order and “ flip “ the car as and when it finally arrives but obviously that could be a gamble.
