Hi

would appreciate any help. Just sold my RRS and then called to cancel the extended warranty that I pay monthly. They said I couldn't cancel as they had been a claim on it last year. Apparently the LR Dealer claimed on it to replace the reversing camera that had failed. So because of that I have to pay 9 more months of the warranty despite no longer having the car.

Anyone else come across this?

thanks

Josh

I have a LR DS with LR extended warranty.

What you have been told is correct: see section 19 of the Warranty Terms and Conditions in the booklet. Should have read the small print?

Section 23 covers cessation of payment of the policy premium. Non payment means the warranty ceases. This means, I think, that if you have paid annually there's no refund.

thanks. Yep hands up did not read the small print. Re the payment. I pay monthly by Direct debit not all in one go. Sort of half accept that sometimes there is no refund if you pay upfront, that happened with the RRS tracker system from Global Telemetrics when I canceled it yesterday.

I have had 3 years of extended warranty and the only claim was that reversing camera, the cost for the rest of the contract to go is £900. frown
