TDV8 / SDV8 Crank Pulley
Discussion
Morning all!
Just a query arising from my 2016 model L405 4.4 SDV8. Noticed that the crank pulley appears to have a “wobble on”when viewed with engine running.
I believe the pulley incorporates a rubber type material in the centre as a damper / balancer hence suspect this may be degrading resulting in the “wobble”.
Question is has anyone else experienced this issue? Mileage is approx 125000 with full history and mainly motorway miles.
The part number applicable is LR022805. Exactly the same pulley in common with the TDV8 / SDV8 variants of this engine throughout the L322 / L494 / L405 model range, photo for reference.
Initial enquiries suggest a retail price between £600 - £700 for a new genuine item. Hence if anyone has a good used one lying around their workshop that they’d part with please pm me!
Any advice or experiences with similar issue gratefully received….
