Discovery TD-5 New Key + Fob / How Do i Program it ?

Hi all, as above, both of the key fobs stopped working. So I have bought a new one from LR ( £190 quid would you believe ) but how do I program it to the cars factory alarm system ?

It's been a long time since I had a TD5, but I think it involves turning the key on and off in the ignition a certain number of times. I'm pretty sure that the instructions are in the owner's manual.

I'm not sure whther this process works with new keys or only to "re-synchronise" existing keys. I remember having to do it once when the car stopped responding (wouldn't start), but that was for an existing (already programmed) key.
