O/S/F soft close door not working

A further post on this saga of the drivers door soft close not working.
Selling dealer (not franchise) said it was the door motor and would order one in...after six months I'm still waiting....nothing new there then!!
Independent said he couldn't find the fault...but recognised the problem was there.
So, after reading countless posts on various forums, I pulled out the trim behind the spare wheel and unplugged/plugged back in all the connections.
Hey presto, soft close now working. Cost me all of five minutes of my time.
It's worth trying this if all other routes have been tried.
