L460 Offers over list

A friend has just purchased a new FFRR L460.
He has been offered £30,000 over list/purchase price! (He has no intention of cashing in)

I knew it was happening just by watching car sales sites.
I am amazed.

Do you know who’s offering that level of overs? Surprised if the trade is at that level, unless he has an early plug in hybrid.

No I don't know who offered it, but I mentioned it to a friend who is a dealer of prestige cars and said £20 to 25 is presently normal.

I’ve just got a new Defender 110. Purchase price was £60k as price locked in last November and honoured by dealer. The same car is £73k now. I’ve had it 3 weeks this Fridayand have turned down £80k for it as I have no intention of selling it.

My cousin has just got his L460 a month ago. First Edition and the franchised dealer has given him £16k over the price he paid and they have sold to someone not prepared to wait for a further £4k. He has ordered another and they have sold him a second hand car which they have agreed to buy back for what he paid when the new car arrives. He doesn’t need the money but has had at least 2 Range Rovers at anytime over the last 10 years and just thought why not?

Well that is interesting. My dealership has had my order and £5000 deposit for several months, but have still passed on the JLR price increase to me.

I got a JLR dog ramp, £2k off list price and the usual full day for 2 people at Eastnor. They are now not price locking when you order. I suppose they figure if you don’t want it they can sell it for the latest price plus some.
