My tracker lasted 1.1 miles and 5 minutes

My tracker was ripped out of my RRS after 5 minutes and 1.1 miles after it was stolen on Sunday so what’s the point of having one and paying a subscription?

Because insurance companies won't touch them if they haven't got one fitted?

As these have been around for a long time I expect it's common knowledge of the usual places they're fitted in various cars.

A couple of my cars have a tracker fitted, but I've still hidden an Apple Airtag in all of them. Works surprisingly well and is also handy for non-theft tracking, like remembering where I parked, or seeing what's going on when my car goes for service...
