Just purchased my first car with a DPF (L405 RR) - I do a fair few short journeys with some fairly decent runs a few times a month.

I'm concerned about the DPF clogging, so keen to ensure regens can occur when required the LR website states:
LRWebsite said:
An amber warning light indicates that regeneration is required. Drive between 60km/h (37mph) and 112km/h (70mph) for 20 minutes and this should clean the filter. Failure to enable self-cleaning following a warning may result in reduced vehicle performance.
If I travel for say 10mins on a road above 37, then get to a roundabout and drop below 37, then back the otherway, would the regen start from scratch at the RA and require a further 20mins, or would an additional 10mins complete the regen?

TIA

If the amber light comes in then take it for a 20min run up the motorway. (20 mins in one direction, not 10 mins one way then come off at a junction and 10 mins back).

Ok thanks hopefully will keep it from coming on with normal usage but good to know smile

I saw a few DPF related dealer visits in the service history so keen to avoid anything I can!

IF and a very big IF the amber light comes on!
Mine has been recovered on numerous occasions and forced regents by LR assist as well and never has the amber light cone on just straight to RED.

Just one more thing to add re DPF regens - make sure you have enough fuel. Most manufacturers ECU's require at least a 1/4 of a tank to start the regen process.
