EFi on a 2.25 lump?

I´ve done all the V8 stuff to the old Landy, it's 4.6 and it goes like stink, but I'm interested in tinkering with an old 2.25 petrol in a fairly standard series 2A SWB. Has anyone seen it done before? I am looking at getting a kit of parts from the USA, all in it's $100 ish as it's all freeware developed by enthusiasts, intresting.

I could use a 2.25 diesel inlet manifold with a butterfly valve, port the head, fit a flowed manifold, up the compression, and then ...... drop it back into the old 60's plodder :-)
