upgrading to L405 2017/2018
Discussion
Evening all
Its time to upgrade my 2012 Westminster and loge I looked at a long wheelbase late 2017 car which was £48kish. Loved it, but realised it has the old interior. So a couple of questions. Is the new almost totally touch screen interior really superior. Im perhaps being a luddite, but Im not sure I
'm enthralled with finding my way round a touch screen for simply things which are just as easily found with button Secondly is the long wheel base actually better, or are there any downsides. I only go off road when I am shooting so the car never gets near struggling. Thanks James

I have the later version and have friends with the former of the tech/interior. The updated systems are better overall, but they’re painfully slow to boot up when you get into the car. Not in the same league as, for example, Porsche where they fire up instantly.
Never driven a LWB myself but as something for being driven in (and not to have to find space to park!)it is great, especially if you need a bag in the back or want the option of stretching out and having a nap, but as a private car to self-drive I went SWB with the more basic rear seating option (to maximise boot space) and no passenger has complained about lack of space in the back.
