It may be worth stretching to 2018 for the later updated model if not much in it
There were a few variables involved, not least of which was the 2019 AB that I had my eye on but as it was £83k it just wasn't gonna happen. In the end the 2017 won out due to only having done 16k miles and which was also 13k cheaper than the equivalent Approved Used at 23k miles (I bought privately). Even then it was still about 6.5k over what we might have paid pre-daftness.Bad time to buy a used car frankly.
Bit of a hi-jack so appologies!
I'm currently considering an L405, I realise current prices are inflated but have only really been looking during the inflated time.
I was initially looking at 2015 onwards, but having seen the comments about the improved infotainment considering pushing for a 2017.
Current prices for 2015 50k miles approved used are high 30s to low 40s.
2017 seem to start around 44k which would be totally top end of what I'd like to spend.
Anyone have any insight on where they'd expect prices of the above to fall to as new stock supply eases?
Ideal car would be 4.4 VSE or AB 2017 - any chance of this being high 30s any time soon?

I don't think prices will ease for at least another 12 months, probably more. They have softened a little if the WBACs of this world are to be believed but the driveway/forecourt prices don't seem to have shifted at all.
As for the infotainment system, there was no way I could live with the original system so went 2017 on (my RRS was MY 2017 as well). InControl Touch Pro is still laggy and behind its contemporaries but perfectly useable.
